Today I am using one of my Christmas gift's! My wife Gina opened this blog account for me! And she printed up business cards to accompany it! So the world, and more specifically Novato, CA, has been warned! I shall be posting the things I see, think, and feel about my hometown and the people that live here, as well as the goings on in my own life. It shall be interesting, humorous, and far-to-honest. Hmm...
As for my job as a letter carrier, today is a day off for me. But one funny thing did happen recently. This is the time when many kind customers give their carriers tips for the holiday. Often, they set them out by their mailbox with "Mailman" or even "Don" written on the envelope. One of my elderly customers did just that two days ago, and I put the envelope aside to read later. I couldn't believe she had left me a tip, as she had never done so before! When I opened it later at home... I found out it was not a tip at all. It was a complaint! It seems she did not get her TV Guide that week and was upset about it. So, I guess her tip for me was to get myself a second job overseeing the distribution of her precious TV Guide.
